Be. Empowered
The Girls Empowerment Academy is a program for middle school girls for girls in grades 6-8 that seeks to improve leadership skills, academic engagement, and positive behaviors. The Academy meets bi-weekly (on Saturdays) during the school year. Participants engage in sessions on career exploration, social emotional learning, self-empowerment, college preparation; and enjoy a wide variety of field trips, guest speakers, and new experiences.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2020-2021 cohort!
Be. College Ready
Be. College Ready provides support to students and parents to reach their post-secondary educational goals. Our volunteer college support team hosts workshops and one-on-one sessions that help with completing the FAFSA application, understanding the financial aid process, and assist with college applications and essays. Our goal is to be able to assist students from the beginning of the application process, through making their decisions, and understanding their financial aid award packages.

Be. Virtual
Be. Virtual is a virtual reality curriculum, coded by youth developers, for social emotional learning development in youth of all ages. This experiential platform, provides a virtual experience to scenario-based learning in areas of: self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
Social Emotional Learning
Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which people acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
