Programs
Be. Virtual
As a youth-built virtual reality SEL and STEM curriculum, high school students have the chance to learn valuable workforce development in coding, gamification, and transferable life skills. Our goals include equipping students with coding and programming, gaining tech certification, further critical thinking skills, and overcoming adversity.
The Food Playground
In partnership with Black Girls Cook, The Food Program (TFP) provides a comprehensive culinary-focused STEM program for adolescent youth of color to explore ecosystems and food systems. TFP teaches STEM concepts and offers self-actualization activities and life skills using culinary arts and edible gardening. Our goals include fostering a safe and supportive space, practicing life skills, and gaining exposure to STEM and Culinary Arts.
Be. Future Ready
Be Future Ready is The Be Org’s college and career readiness program that prepares high school students for success in the post-secondary arena. Be Future Ready leverages a three-prong approach to ensure older youth are supported and equipped with the tools, SEL skills and supports necessary to successfully navigate the world as young adults. Be Future Ready provides a safe space and peer empowered community that incubates student’s growth and fosters safe exploration of the skills and tools learned throughout the program. Students encourage and support each other’s success during and after participation in Be Future Ready events.
Character Education
The Be. Org’s Character Education programming, for elementary school students, is based on Positive Action curriculum. This curriculum focuses on the positive actions that students can do each day to improve their intellectual, emotional and physical health. The Positive Action curriculum is composed of seven units and has over 130 lessons per grade. The Be. Org has combined and condensed the content from these units into fifteen interactive lesson plans that can be used virtually or in person.
