The Food Playground
Where STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) meet culinary arts!
The Food Playground is a virtual summer program in collaboration with Black Girls Cook that teaches culinary arts through STEM enrichment. The Food Playground provides inner-city adolescent girls of color opportunities to gain confidence and hands-on experience in STEM practices by exploring ecosystems and food systems. Using a combination of virtual and self-paced learning, this program will guide young ladies through projects that engage them in science practices, encourage life-long habits of health, and give them practice being leaders in their community.
Summer 2021 applications will open in May 2021.
